Light Tackle
A
lone Redfish “crawls” down a grassy shoreline,
the fish is so shallow his back is out of the water.
“Go ahead and throw it to him”, your guide
whispers. You cock the bail and let the soft plastic
lure fly. To you horror the wind pushes it and it
land too close to the almost “dry” Redfish!!
The bait hit the water and the redfish responds by
slamming it the second it lands, fish on!! If this
sounds like the type of light tackle fishing you are
looking for then Shallow Water Expeditions is your
kind of guide service. Cobia, Jack Crevelle, False
Albacore (Bonito) Ladyfish, Bluefish, Spanish mackerel,
Pompano, Seatrout, and of course Redfish and Tarpon.
It
may be sight fishing Pompano on the beach, or throwing
top water lures for Redfish and Trout, we are well
versed in all aspects of light tackle spin fishing.
Your guide will be ready and rigged with the top of
the line spin fishing equipment; he will also know
what lures and in what colors are producing. After
you land your first 30 lb. Jack Crevelle, or 150lb.
Tarpon, you will be glad we use only the best Rods,
Reels and line.
In
addition to equipment your guide will instruct you
on the “fine tune” details of lure presentation,
many times that certain twitch, or proper lure speed
is that small critical factor that draws the strike.
All clients should feel free to bring their own gear
if they wish, we welcome you to use the set up that
you are most comfortable with. Those of you who are
more comfortable with bait casting style rods, please
let us know and we can accommodate. |
