SHALLOW WATER EXPEDITIONS: the premier 30A, Panama City Beach & Destin Fishing Charter

Fly Fishing Charters in Panama City Beach, FL

Shallow Water Expeditions offers expert guided fly fishing trips in Panama City Beach and surrounding waters, targeting redfish, tarpon, and false albacore across some of the most technical and productive fisheries in Florida. Our trips cover the St. Andrews Bay system including West Bay, East Bay, and North Bay, along with the nearshore Gulf waters just off the beaches.

Whether you’re sight casting to tailing redfish on the flats or presenting a fly to rolling tarpon along the outer sandbars, these trips are built for anglers who love precision and visual strikes. Our captains bring over 20 years of local fly fishing experience and tie their own flies to match seasonal patterns. With flats and bay boats designed for fly casting, this is high level saltwater fly fishing at its finest.

Where We Fly Fish

St. Andrews Bay & Inshore Flats

We work the grass flats, creeks, and oyster beds in St. Andrews Bay and its surrounding systems—West Bay, East Bay, and North Bay. These waters offer classic sight-fishing conditions for redfish, with productive action in fall, winter, and spring.

Nearshore Gulf Waters

Our captains also guide fly trips just off the beach for migratory tarpon and false albacore (bonito) in late spring through summer. When conditions are right, this can be some of the most visual and exciting fly fishing in the state.
