Our area has become incredibly popular in the last 15-20 years as a destination for visiting travelers and residents in the Southeastern U.S. The name many visiting guests associate the area with is, “South Walton.” South Walton encompasses the Sandestin, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor Resort, Seaside, Seagrove, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach hamlets. Each on of these areas has it own characteristics and styles. At Shallow Water Expeditions we have been guiding clients staying at these locations for many years and know the adjacent launch points closest to each area. The main body of water here in South Walton is the Choctawhatchee Bay, it inhabits a large space that runs thru the county and is one of the main places our guide fish. Depending on wind direction we will drive to different launch point to provide safe and comfortable fishing conditions for our clients. There is also some great fishing that happens off the beaches here in South Walton and we will usually launch in either Destin or Panama City to exit one of the areas passes and get out along our beautiful beaches.
