SHALLOW WATER EXPEDITIONS: the premier 30A, Panama City Beach & Destin Fishing Charter

Tarpon Fishing Charters Along the Florida Gulf Coast

Shallow Water Expeditions offers guided tarpon fishing trips along Florida’s Northern Gulf Coast, covering the full migratory corridor from Panama City Beach to the Big Bend. We target migrating tarpon using fly and light tackle, with a focus on clear-water sight fishing across a variety of coastal terrain.

From white sand beaches near Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe to the grass flats of Apalachicola Bay, this stretch of coastline delivers world-class opportunities for anglers chasing silver kings in shallow water. Tarpon season typically runs from May through August, with fish moving west to east across this productive stretch of coastline.

Where We Fish for Tarpon

Western Zone – Panama City to St. Joe Bay

Our western zone covers Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach, and Port St. Joe. These areas are known for white sand beaches, sight-casting along sandbars, and low-pressure fishing zones during peak season.

Eastern Zone – Apalachicola Bay to St. George Sound

The eastern zone includes Lanark, Carrabelle, Alligator Point, and the legendary Apalachicola system. Tarpon here track bait along channel edges, oyster lines, and grass flats with deep, accessible water close to shore.
